EUROPEAN DEFENCE WEEK PARIS: LAUNCH OF DEFENCE ANGELS EUROPEAN NETWORK (DAEN)

With the announcement of Defence Angels European Network (DAEN), the First Pan-European Network of Business Angels Dedicated to DefenceTech and Strategic Innovation, the first European Defence Week in Paris marked a major milestone.

The DAEN initiative is a.o. driven by Défense Angels France, Business Angels Europe, national federations such as IBAN Association, France Angels and numerous other European networks, with support from institutional partners such as Bpifrance, the European Commission, and the European Investment Bank (EIB).

DAEN aims to close the early-stage funding gap and strengthen Europe’s strategic autonomy. Private investors from across the continent are joining forces to support Europe’s most promising start-ups in defence, dual-use and critical technologies, from cybersecurity to drones, space and advanced materials.

IBAN Association will actively support the set up of this network in the upcoming weeks, and take an active role in the final structure and operations.
